Drag Racing Challenge

We all know how easy it is to brag about the 20,000hp you're making or the 6 second ETs your running in your girlfriend's daily. Well there's only one way to prove what you've got: run your hot rod down the quarter mile. So here we have the Butty Run Drag Racing Challenge. It's simple, the only rule is your car (truck, bike, what have you) needs to appear in two of the normal Butty Run galleries - to establish you're a Butty Runner. No excuses, no handicaps, no prizes other than bragging rights. Get yourself along to a RWYB/test & tune event. If you've got witnesses then fine, otherwise show up to a Butty Run with your timing slip and we'll post the times here for all to see.

Obviously your car has to meet the strip's regulations, which means you're very likely to need a helmet and seat belts (a lap belt is normally enough).

We had the first group of cars go at the 2008 Nostalgia Nationals at Shakespeare County Raceway and a few more since. The results so far are:

We took advantage of the Hot Rod Drags on 13/14th of September to get some more times in and some of us were caught on video. Deep apologies to the driver of the Plymouth Duster, but we missed you! A couple of us made it to the Old Skool Ford Weekend, also caught on video.

There are two RWYBs at Shakey on the 11th-12th and 25th-26th of October. If you're planning a trip to a RWYB drop us an email!
