The Butty Run takes place on the first Sunday of every month at the Long Itchington Diner from 10:30am until around 12:30pm. All are welcome, there's no club or membership, the regulars are friendly and the food's good too. The meet regularly attracts a mixture of around 30 hot rods, customs, yanks, classics and bikes. The meeting was started in March 2006 and has been growing ever since. After sampling the culinary delights of the diner, there is usually a cruise to a local event. Past cruises have included the Nostalgia Nationals, the Stoneliegh Kit Car show and the Parade in Leamington.

Usual rural type stuff: tug o war, dog show, arts and crafts, car boot sale trade stands.......A BAR!!!!!! and other stuff....
They would realy like us to show some cars so if we want to turn up and show our cars they will set aside a nice area for us.
If you want to camp over on the Sunday night they will put on a bar for us and poss even a band or music......and you can stop over on the Monday night too if you want!!!
The organiser would like to know if and how many may be interested...Is anyone up for it?? |

Drag Racing So a few of us were thinking it might be fun to put together a league table of Butty Runners' quarter mile times. Think of Top Gear's star in a resonably priced car kind of thing. The Nostalgia Nationals at Shakey provided an ideal place to start. Just for fun, no prize other than bragging rights. To establish your credentials as a Butty Runner, your car must appear in at least two of the Galleries. Obviously it has to conform to the rules at the strip, etc. Keep an eye on the Drag Racing page for updates. |

Are We Moving? We are thinking about moving the Butty Run to a different venue, since we're rapidly running out car parking space at the Diner. We're planning some mid-month visits to various possible alternatives, so keep checking the website. Rest assured though that we'll make it really clear if we decide to move and will communicate this via the website, email, forums and at least one meet at Long Itch. |
